How AiMemo handles your data

Back

Updated October 17, 2026. AiMemo (App Store listing name: AiMemo: AI Notes & Voice, formerly OnlyIdeas) is operated by LazyingArt LLC.

Accounts and content

We store your account identifier, email and display name, authentication information, memos, tasks, dates, chat messages, assistant responses, recordings you upload and their transcripts on our servers. Passwords are stored as hashes, not plain text. Google or Apple sign-in also provides the provider account identifier. Service logs can contain connection and error information. This data is linked to your account and used to run, secure and synchronize the app.

Optional AI and speech processing

Optional Google sign-in is also processed by Google. Its sign-in SDK declares collection of account/contact information (including a phone number where provided to Google), approximate location, account/device identifiers, usage and other service data for authentication, security and analytics. This does not give AiMemo access to your Google password or phone contacts. You can use email sign-in instead. See Google's privacy policy. Apple's sign-in service is covered by Apple's privacy policy.

Before AI or transcription is used, you must explicitly allow it in the app. AI settings let you choose a provider and permitted fallbacks. The selected providers receive your message, selected attachments and their contents, relevant conversation history and saved memo context. Cloud options use DeepSeek or OpenAI; Codex also uses OpenAI. A local-server option runs on LazyingArt's server, not on your phone, and is used only if you select it. Availability depends on server configuration. Existing accounts must accept the updated provider disclosure before messages can be sent to DeepSeek. The app does not silently add an unselected local model when a provider fails.

Selecting images or documents saves them in a draft on this device; they are uploaded when you send. Recordings go to LazyingArt's speech service for transcription. Voice-message transcripts follow your AI settings. Dictation transcripts wait for you to review and send them. AI can make mistakes; review its responses and saved changes.

Manual memo editing works without AI permission. Turning AI permission off in Settings prevents new processing; requests already sent may finish, and previously shared data is not erased by turning the switch off. DeepSeek and OpenAI also process data under their applicable service terms and privacy policies. Recalling a chat message removes it from your chat and future assistant context, but does not undo saved memo changes or erase a request already received by a provider. Do not submit information you do not have permission to share.

Device storage and Apple Watch

Drafts, pending uploads and some recent content are stored on your device. The Apple Watch companion sends text through your paired, signed-in iPhone and receives recent memo previews. It does not receive your login token. A watch memo remains queued until the phone acknowledges saving it; this acknowledgment does not mean AI processing has finished. Offline devices may retain local copies until they reconnect or you remove app data.

Optional calendars, reminders and notifications

Where supported, you can choose to copy a dated memo into a device calendar or reminder app. The copy includes its title, date, notes and checklist. Apple apps ask for the relevant device permission; checking or updating an existing copy can require additional read access. Android opens your calendar's editor, and the web app downloads a calendar file for you to import. Device-calendar access is not given to the AI assistant, and AiMemo does not upload the contents of your device calendars or reminder lists. Local copy identifiers and notification preferences are stored separately for each AiMemo account on that device.

AiMemo notifications are optional and use a generic preview rather than your memo text. Native apps can schedule selected local alerts; web notifications require a supported browser and an active, synchronizing app. These are not a server push service. Signing out or disabling AiMemo alerts cancels its local alerts, but does not delete copies already saved in another calendar or reminder app. Those copies, including any synchronization by your calendar provider, remain under that app's controls and privacy policy; remove them there if you no longer want them.

Retention, export and deletion

Settings offers an account export and account deletion. Deletion removes the active account, memos and messages, revokes stored Apple authorization, and queues retryable removal of application recordings, agent conversation history and speech-service audio/transcripts. Discarded voice drafts also queue speech-service deletion. Cleanup normally runs within minutes; a running transcription or service outage may delay it. Contact support if deletion has not completed within seven days. Private database backups expire after 30 days on daily rotation (within 31 days). An account-ID-only deletion record prevents deleted accounts from returning after a backup restore; it contains no memo text, recordings or credentials. We retain this security record to honor your deletion request. Processor-held data is subject to the processor's applicable retention rules; support can help with removal requests.

For removal of retained copies, or if you cannot sign in, contact support@lazying.art from your account email and request AiMemo account/data deletion. We may need to verify account ownership. Do not send a password or login token. Deletion and support instructions.

Reports, advertising and tracking

You can report an AI response in Chat. The selected response and your explanation become available to our support team for safety and quality review. We do not run advertising, sell personal data, or use cross-app tracking.

Purchases and subscriptions

The app download is separate from your AiMemo account plan. Where in-app subscriptions are offered, Apple or Google Play processes payment; AiMemo does not receive your payment-card number. We link verified product, transaction, renewal, expiration and refund information to a random billing identifier for your account, to deliver access and prevent purchases from being claimed by another account. We also record completed AI usage to enforce the displayed allowance. Your memo text is not sent to Apple or Google for purchase verification.

Active account-linked billing and usage records are removed with account deletion. A restricted security registry retains keyed, pseudonymous purchase and billing-binding digests to prevent a deleted account's purchases from being reassigned. It has no email, profile, memo content, raw purchase token or account-to-purchase join. These digests remain while required to prevent purchase reassignment; its separate protected key and journal survive database recovery. Encrypted store notifications expire after 30 days and are cleared earlier when matched to retired ownership; database backups expire within 31 days. Apple and Google independently retain purchase records under their own policies. Deleting AiMemo or your account does not cancel a subscription: cancel in the store where you purchased first. Contact support for purchase or ownership issues.
